Happy new Year!

Well First thing's first! Happy new year!

Secondly, it is TEXTBOOK TIME! That's right! I am having a sale. 20% off EVERYTHING! you just have to put this (TEXTBOOKSALE20) code into the coupon box at the checkout! My texts are going to cost me over $1000 this year so every little bit helps!

Thirdly, my yarns are now being stocked at pinknits! Yay! This is so exciting for me! I don't know how much is likely to sell, but we will see and it is good exposure too!

There are some new stitch markers up in the store today. I will probably not be adding more for a while. I was hoping they would do better, but I guess such is life. :)Click on the image below to see the stitch markers.

Also, the big update I have been planning that was suppose to come late last year/early this year just hasn't happened. I have been so busy. I have been doing quite a few custom orders though, which is good. :) so keep em coming. once finances are a bit better, I hope to do a big order of yarn from the USA and do the big dying project I have been planning for so long...I just need a bit more money. :P

Well I hope the new year is keeping you all busy! I know I am!

A shout out for ECOYARNS!

This is a shout out to Vivian at ECOYARNS.com.au. Not only is she the most amazingly nice person on the planet, but her shop is fabulous! I am utterly addicted to her EcoORGANICS cotton range. It is sooo soft and smooshy and the colour range is phenomenal for a cotton. If you are a fan of cotton, I HIGHLY recommend this cotton. It is worth the investment for something that is going to last, and be super amazingly soft. Click on the images below to go directly to the purchase page!

Finally!

So, My shipment of Merino fibre FINALLY arrived! It took my supplier nearly 2 months to get it to me, but it is here, and I can start dying for pinknits as soon as all this rain stops. There have been so many delays on this exciting venture and I feel really bad about having to keep pushing back when Cilla will get the Yarn I have promised her. Now I can finally get the whole lot sorted. :) And there is good news for my customers too! I have enough here to add some stock to the online shop as well, so i will soon be stocking hand dyed roving in the shop again! It has been a while, But I am hoping to add a fairly decent range of OOAK rovings in both 22 and 18 micron. So keep an eye out for fibre updates in the shop in the coming month.

Health Problems

So I have been having problems with my health of late, and recently spent 3 days in hospital receiving treatment for this ongoing illness. It was a pretty scary ordeal, being admitted at 2 am because of severe pain and spending the first 24 hours on morphine - and the pain still not going away. Needless to say this is really going to affect my ability to restock for the new year. I have plans to do a major restock of sock weight and DK hand dyed yarns in the new year, but It may need to be delayed while I am laid up.

I have been put on a crash diet by my surgeon because he wants me to have surgery to hopefully correct the source of my problem, and for that I will need to lose weight first. I will keep people posted about how it is going, and will also keep people up to date about how things are going with the conceived future update. I expect that when it happens, it will be spectacular.

I aim to be producing a range of sock yarns that are repeatable - so in essence, if you come and buy one skein, you should be able to come back another time and get something pretty similar. I am hoping to move towards a more consistent approach to dying, although I will still be doing the OOAK skeins, as they are what I love the most.

Well good luck and a happy Christmas to all!

something exciting!

So, the last few months have been busy busy busy! I have been adding hand spun to the shop all regular like and now I have an opportunity to help out a local business! My LYS pinknits is a fantastic wee place and I am now working on spinning up a range for her to sell exclusively!

I am giving her 50% of the profits from each skein sold to help support my beautiful LYS. I am uber psyched about this! it also means that hand spun additions to the etsy shop will cease temporarily, except for custom orders.

Well, wish us luck! Pics when the new yarns are done!

Busy Busy Busy!

So, I am Flat out getting the shop all stockerinoed!

There is a new series of Yarns up now, and there will be more in the near future. - Tweedle Dum & Tweedle Dee Worsted! So far, the plan is for 2 skeins dyed in the same dye lot. If people express and interest, I may kick it up to 4 skeins.

Each Skein is about 150 metres, so enough to do small projects like hats, bags, kids clothes and the like. If there is an expression of interest, I will start dying up sweater quantities of worsted, and remember you can always ask for a custom job too, if you want more.

I have also listed some hand made stitch markers. Right now the range is not huge, and only glass, but I have ordered some beautiful gemstone beads, so there will be semiprecious stitch markers in store soon as well as more lovely glass ones!

Also, There is new hand spun up in the store, so don't forget to check those out, and keep your eyes peeled for some VERY special Hand spun coming in the near future. ;)
